A sophomore student at Kenya Multimedia University has disappeared under unclear circumstances.

Brian Wanjala Wabwire, 21, disappeared from the university’s main campus on Magadi Road on October 4.

His college mates say he was seen with his girlfriend shortly before her disappearance.

Her friends said The standard that Wabwire seemed disturbed the day he disappeared. One of his confidants said Wabwire was threatened with unspecified consequences by someone to whom he owed Sh 8,000.

Wabwire, a bachelor’s degree student in Applied Communication, was leaving the university grounds for hostels in the Maasai Lodge area when he disappeared.

“He had left his cell phone charged in the hostel,” said one of his friends identified as Ayiecho.

On October 5, his college mates filed a missing person report at Ongata Rongai police station under number OB 87/5/10/2021.

His mother, who lives in Sinoko Village, Kanduyi Constituency in Bungoma County, urged the police to speed up investigations into her son’s disappearance.

“I last spoke to him on October 4 in the morning before he went missing,” said Eunice Wabwire, the student’s mother.

“That day he asked to speak to his younger brother, who is expected to join Masinde Muliro University. [of Science and Technology]. He (Brian) advised the younger brother to take his studies seriously and stay in good company once he enters college, ”said Eunice, stating that she had sacrificed a lot to educate the young woman from 21 years old.

“I sold a piece of land and other personal belongings to make sure he got a good education. ”

Brian’s older brother, Meshack Wafula Wabwire, has since traveled to Nairobi in search of his brother.

“I visited several hospitals, morgues and police stations looking for my brother, but the efforts were in vain,” Meshack said.
