IK Multimedia will give gamers access to thousands of amp and stompbox platforms with ToneX

IK Multimedia is fully committed to promoting accessible guitar tone profiling with its previously announced Modeling of AI machines technology and now he’s revealed how we can use it to demo, download and share dream pedals and amps with his new ToneX.

It is a standalone application, DAW plugin and AmpliTube 5 extension that will offer over 1000 platforms at launch with more to be added. Rigs will include rarities like the Dumble Overdrive Special and you can even model your own amps and pedals with AI Machine Modeling to share via IK’s Tone NET integration.

Players can demo tones instantly and also search for specific gear in user tone patterns. Additionally, IK Multimedia will launch the optional Amplitube ToneX Capture hardware interface (€199); an all-in-one accessory for modeling any rig with or without mics, then integrating amps or stompboxes into your audio interface for reamping/modeling.

Introductory pricing will start at $/€149.99 for ToneX and $/€99.99 for ToneX SE on PC or Mac. AmpliTube 5 MAX users will receive an additional $/€50 discount coupon which they can use to purchase ToneX MAX.

The ToneX app for iPhone and iPad (no Android option at this time) is available both as a standalone app or as an AU plugin for all major mobile DAWs and includes the same Player section than ToneX Mac/PC software for playing, practicing and recording.

Helpfully, the ToneX application and the Mac/PC software’s tone pattern library work in sync, so any player’s tone pattern collection can be played on any compatible device.
