Lincotek Group has appointed Andrea Colombo as the company’s new CEO. Colombo will succeed Winfried Schaller and take office on September 5, 2022.
Winfried Schaller played an essential role in a key transition phase for Lincotek. Under its strong leadership, Lincotek is a global leader in its respective market segments and has more than doubled in size through acquisitions and organic growth, as well as expanding its global presence – particularly in the United States.
“The years have been full of challenges, but have also brought a lot of satisfaction. It certainly wasn’t always easy, but with passion, resilience and a great team, it was a pleasure to bring our vision to fruition. The time has now come for me to take on new challenges and I am leaving this group knowing that it will again be a fresh start to Lincotek’s next phase of growth. I am proud to have led the group through this transition and to entrust this responsibility to Andrea with a feeling of nostalgia and also of gratitude. I would like to thank my team, the owners, as well as our partners and customers for all the support given over these years,” said Winfried Schaller.
Andrea Colombo brings over 25 years of international experience in the energy, oil & gas and fintech sectors. Colombo joins from NCR, where he was vice president of global product operations. Prior to joining NCR, he served as Vice President of the Energy Business Unit at Chromalloy, and spent 14 years at General Electric Oil & Gas, managing businesses that grew in size to 3, $5 billion in annual revenue.

During his career, Colombo has developed strong skills in project management, supply chain operations and P&L management, as well as business development and mergers and acquisitions. He has also developed essential leadership skills leading large and diverse global organizations around the world.

Colombo obtained his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Universita’ di Padova, Italy, as well as his post-graduate Master of Engineering for Nuclear Energy before entering the Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering. program.
